The short version
If you click through to a partner and become their customer, that partner may pay us. For brokers, that's a percentage of the fees they earn from the customers we refer. Every link where this can happen is marked.
If you book a paid education session, you pay us for that hour. The price is on the sessions page. Nobody else pays us for it.
Guides, the blog, webinars, the FAQ and the free 15-minute call cost you nothing, and no partner pays us to write them.
How a referral fee works
Every outbound partner link on this site goes through the same path, so it's always marked and always counted. Being referred by us never costs you more.
- You click "Visit"on a partner listing or at the end of a guide. The link is labelled as a referral link.
- You land on their sitethrough an orangebrickroad.com.au/go/ address, so the partner knows you came from us.
- You decidewhether to engage them. That decision and any dealing you do is between you and them, under their own licence or registration.
- They may pay usif you become a customer. Brokers pay us a percentage of the fees they earn from you. You pay the same fees whether you sign up through us or go to them directly.

What being paid does and doesn't change
What we commit to
- A partner is listed because they passed our vetting standard. Whether they'll pay us isn't part of the decision.
- The directory is alphabetical. Nobody can pay to be listed first or featured.
- Every guide that mentions a partner's type of service includes a "what to watch for" section, including partners we list.
- If a post or webinar is ever sponsored, it says so at the top.
- If a partner stops meeting the standard, we remove them, whatever they pay.
What we don't do
- We don't recommend what to buy, how much to invest, or whether crypto suits you. We don't hold an Australian Financial Services Licence.
- We never hold your money, your keys or your seed phrase.
Why we publish this
Our business is pointing people to other businesses. If you can't see how that pays, you can't judge whether to trust where we're pointing. In a part of the internet full of anonymous "recovery experts" and paid promotion, we'd rather show our workings.
It's also what the rules expect. Australian Consumer Law says we can't mislead you about commercial relationships, and search engines require paid links to be marked as such. Ours are.
